The electric SUV space is getting increasingly crowded, but Lee County shoppers looking for value need to look no further than the BMW iX. With potent dual motors, xDrive all-wheel drive, and plenty of luxurious touches, there's a reason Southwest Florida shoppers prefer the Ultimate Electric Driving Machine. Here's how the BMW iX compares to some of the competition.
BMW iX vs. Tesla Model X
The BMW iX currently offers a lower monthly payment when you lease (30K miles/36 months) and a lower interest rate when you finance than the Tesla Model X. The BMW iX also achieved a higher range than the Tesla Model X in testing by Edmunds – 377 miles, compared to just 313 miles. Consumer Reports rates the BMW iX at 84 – compared to 53 for the Tesla.
BMW iX vs. Audi Q8 e-tron
The Audi Q8 e-tron boasts an EPA-rated range of just 285 miles. That's not bad, but the BMW iX xDrive50 achieves 307 miles. Both vehicles offer all-wheel drive and plenty of luxury features, but the iX offers 516 horsepower, compared to 355 in the Audi. Only one makes sense for your commute on I-75.
BMW iX vs. Mercedes-Benz EQE 350
The BMW iX offers 54 more miles of range, according to the EPA. Consumer Reports ranks the EQE 350 at #28, compared to the BMW iX, which sits at the #1 position. Additionally, the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 makes just 288 horsepower, compared to the 516 under the sheet metal of the BMW iX.
BMW iX vs. Rivian R1S
Both the Rivian R1S dual motor and the higher-trim quad-motor version boast impressive performance and capabilities that rival the BMW iX, like all-wheel drive and impressive ground clearance. The BMW iX currently offers more attractive leasing payments than the quad-motor and a lower interest rate for financing either trim.
