All-Electric Performance in the BMW Electric SUV
There are a few electric powertrain options available in the 2023 BMW iX, but even the base setup provides plenty of punch. With 516 horsepower from a pair of electric motors, all-wheel drive is standard across the board. New for 2023 is the iX M60i which churns out a staggering 610 horsepower and takes the new electric BMW from zero to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
In addition to all-wheel drive, the BMW iX is available with rear-steer to enhance cornering capabilities. The result is a large SUV that feels like a smaller car in the twisty corners, so the iX is enjoyable to drive even if you don't typically enjoy SUVs. Also assisting is the battery pack, which lowers the center of gravity to enhance cornering grip even further.
Premium Technology Abound
Of course, there is plenty of premium technology to be found in the 2023 BMW iX, including a dual-panel widescreen display that encompasses both the digital instrument cluster and central infotainment display.
